The Cape Coral Library often has art exhibits

"Africa" photography exhibit plus DASF (Decorative Artists of Southwest Florida) art to be displayed during the month of February 2018.

Changing exhibits are featured in the spacious art gallery located at 921 SW 39th Terrace.  The latest show is available for viewing - and purchasing - during library business hours.

Welcome back to the photographers Claude Chalut, Estelle Chartrand, Marie Elise Mathieu and Andree Morin who wowed everyone with their "French Connection" exhibit last spring.

This year's show is called "Africa" and features new images by these 4 talented snowbirds who return from way up north each year to their homes in Cape Coral.  Each has received numerous awards and recognition in shows at the Cape Coral Art League where they area ll members.

The extraordinary work in this exhibit includes travel, nature, scenery, macro photography and more.

Small paintings are decorative pieces by Judith MacLaren and Jackie Marth are featured in the glass cases.  Both artists have a wealth of experience working in different media on a wide variety of surfaces, have taught many art classes and workshops in the local area, and are active members of the DASF.

The library's gallery shows are sponsored by the Friends of the Cape Coral Library.  For more information, contact Monica Rahman at 239-258-2991

Join in congratulating our very own, PAT RICCI for her artwork chosen by the CMCS (The Caloosahatchee Marching & Chowder Society) and The Summerset Regatta.

This organization chose Pat's work, "Red Sail".  The Cape Coral Art League was one of the sponsors of the 52nd Annual Summerset Regatta, October 2017.  The painting was promoted on the apparel sold by the CMCS during their regatta.

Her piece was entered in the 2016 Gallery Show "Fish & Ships".

Congrats Pat!
