If you have some experience with acrylic, this class will help you perfect your techniques.  Pat will cover materials, color mixing and a variety of strokes and application techniques.  You will enjoy creating four (4) finished paintings, step by step.  Supply list available.

Come learn the techniques, tips and tricks of Acrylic Pouring with Pat St. Onge.  In this fun, interactive workshop, Pat will demonstrate several methods.  She'll discuss how to modify your paints with different pouring mediums, how to create cells, and provide recipes and instructions in a hand out to take home for future experimentation. Adult & Youth Drawing Class

This special Sunday class has returned for the "Season" and will continue until January 6th.  This class is for beginning artists (to start with the basics) or accomplished artists (to improve their drawing skills).

*  Learn how to create directional light, shadows and texture.

*  Learn how to understand the fundamentals of measuring, proportion and composition.

Learn the basics of photography.  Standard digital will be discussed. Basic camera operation and care, settings, frame placement and paper selections for printing, presentation and framing and preservation of prints.  Various computer programs will be discussed for printing and manipulation.  Bring your camera and its manual, plus a notebook for taking notes.  Be prepared for homework printing assignments.

Oil painting is considered the easiest medium to learn. Jan Ellen Atkielski "Powerful Palette Knife - Landscapes in Oil"

This information-packed workshop is designed to give a good foundation for bold, direct palette knife painting.  The workshop will accommodate 5 to 20 painters (beginners to advanced).  Participants can expect to produce at least one painting.


Class starts with a demonstration focusing on the most direct and effective methods for painting strong, vibrant oils using painting knives and a limited palette.  Participants are encouraged to ask questions during the demonstration.  Afterwards, participants will paint from their own photography or may choose to paint from one of the large photos provided for them by Jan Ellen.  During class, Jan Ellen will go around to each person offering suggestions focusing on their individual needs.

Frederica Marshall "Landscape in Four Seasons - Sumi-E"

In this two day Sumi-e workshop, you can learn amazing Asian texture and brushstroke techniques used to create the beauty of nature.


We will paint with Sumi-e ink on the front of the washi paper and add watercolor (Chinese or Oriental, not Western) to the back of the paper for a transluscent glow.

Once she struck out on her own, she created several businesses and then launched her classes at her home studio.
