If you have some experience with acrylic, this class will help you perfect your techniques.  Pat will cover materials, color mixing and a variety of strokes and application techniques.  You will enjoy creating four (4) finished paintings, step by step.  Supply list available.

This special Sunday class has returned for the "Season" and will continue until May 12th. This class is for beginning artists (to start with the basics) or accomplished artists (to improve their drawing skills).

* Learn how to understand the fundamentals of measuring, proportion and composition.

Prerequisites:

•Must have your own laptop to bring to CCAL

•Must have photoshop pre-loaded on your computer

•Must have internet access to the CCAL WIFI ready to go

•Must have pictures of your artwork that are clear (pictures should be taken at the highest quality setting on your camera or phone) Pictures must be preloaded on your computer

•Must have a good understanding of your computer

Learn the basics of photography.  Standard digital will be discussed. Basic camera operation and care, settings, frame placement and paper selections for printing, presentation and framing and preservation of prints.  Various computer programs will be discussed for printing and manipulation.  Bring your camera and its manual, plus a notebook for taking notes.  Be prepared for homework printing assignments.

Oil painting is considered the easiest medium to learn. Color mixing is easier; paint flow and brush strokes are smoother.  Forgiveness is probably its greatest attribute.  You will learn stroke by stroke, painting by painting.   Request a supply list.  If you have questions, please call Terry at (239) 471-7315.  Beginners and experienced painters are welcome.

Marie Natale is a New Jersey watercolor painter who has focused her art on Southern New Jersey scenes.  Victorian Cape May City has inspired Marie to teach "en plein air" in that picturesque community along with many other locations in the area.  Marie has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Art & Education and spent 10 years teaching art in the local school district.  


Once she struck out on her own, she created several businesses and then launched her classes at her home studio.  


Her following has increased tenfold and she now visits South Florida annually to offer workshops in Fort Lauderdale and Cape Coral.  Her colorful watercolors are a joy to see and with her help, you can create your own.

Her floral workshops are filled with flowers so you can work from the real thing.  In the portrait section of the workshop, Janet generously provides drawings to facilitate the painting aspect.  The end result is a very enjoyable experience that gives you the skills to paint beautiful works.
