HISTORY
The Cape Coral Art League (CCAL) was chartered in 1965 as a not-for-profit 501c3 and 501a2 charity organization
that promotes the advancement of art throughout Southwest Florida.  It was incorporated in 1966 to promote the advancement of art in Cape Coral and nearby areas.  The current studio location was built and opened in the fall of 1984.  A beautiful gallery addition was opened in april 1991.  With the help of a state grant a second art room studio was built in 2002 providing more space for art classes, workshops and many more art events.
The League offers year-round classes for adults, youth and children; seven major art exhibits annually; workshops with world-renowned artists and a scholarship program for high school seniors. The CCAL celebrates its 46th anniversary in 2012.

JANUARY 2013 MEETING.
Message From the President:

Dear Members,
We are wrapping up another wonderful season at CCAL and I think it has been our best season yet!

We had three show sponsors, a very successful January art sale, two fundraising yard sales, and have added some new venues to display our art.  I want to thank each and every member for their time and effort in making this a very productive year! Have a safe and creative summer!

I'm very pleased to be able to give you a very encouraging and VERY interesting update on the flooring project!  As of May 14, we have a total of $7,843.50 towards the flooring.  We are getting so close to our $10.000 goal!  Here is where it gets interesting...  We have an anonymous contributor who has offered a challenge!  Our contributor wrote out a $1,000 check to be applied to the existing $7,843.50 balance if we could match his/her check with new money in the same amount.  In other words...we get to keep the contributors check of $1,000 if we raise another $1,000.  We only need to come up with another $794.50!   If we can make this happen members, we will have our new flooring this summer.  So please members, lets see if we can meet this challenge.  We are so very, very close!  Our goal is to raise the money needed by June 1st.  I know we can do this!

The flooring we chose is a very high quality epoxy flooring by Image Custom Coatings.  They have been in business for 15 years and offer a lifetime warranty on the product.  It is very attractive, durable, and easy to maintain and will last us for many, many years to come.  The company took into consideration that we are non-profit and they gave us an amazing bid with several upgrades included.  They have been incredibly generous to us. If you would like to see their webpage go to www.imagecustomcoatings.com

I would like to thank everyone for their participation in this project and I know you will enjoy your new flooring for years to come!  Great job members!
